教学目的：Help students to read the new words correctly and use them properly.
教学要求：Students are required to be able to read the new words correctly and use them properly.
教具：PPT , Blackboard & tape recorder
第五单元第一课时主要用来处理Vocabulary I中的生词。通过历次考试可以看出，学生们在单词的拼写、认读、意义辨析等方面都存在问题，因此，本课侧重单词的认读和使用。
首先，听录音跟读，听、读两到三遍。（实际上，在学习外语单词时，仅读两到三遍是绝对不够的，不足以熟记单词的读音和意义。）然后鼓励部分学生领读，在领读的过程中纠正学生的读音错误，帮助其他同学避免类似的错误。
在跟读单词之后，给出符合读音规则的拼读方式及字母组合，帮助那些语音上没有基础的学生一点一滴地积累语音知识，从而培养一种根据拼写形式就能准确读出单词的.能力。这部分利用黑板的板书，要求学生记笔记。
接下来利用例句来理解部分单词的用法。利用PPT能够尽可能多的呈现生词的基本用法。给出某些词在使用中的固定搭配，在课堂上口头造一些结构简单的句子，使学生在应用中找语感，注意到英语句子中的词序。
最后强调记忆单词的重要性，严格要求学生熟记拼读规则，强化单词的记忆，并布置作业。

II. Ask about one-fifth students to read the new words to see if they can read them correctly.
